Medical Records Technician - Solapur

Job Summary:

The Medical Record Technician is responsible for maintaining accurate, complete, and confidential patient medical records. The role ensures proper documentation, coding, storage, and retrieval of medical records in compliance with hospital policies, legal requirements, and healthcare standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collect, assemble, analyze, and maintain patient medical records.
  • Ensure completeness, accuracy, and timeliness of medical documentation.
  • File, retrieve, and track inpatient and outpatient records.
  • Maintain confidentiality and security of medical records as per hospital policy.
  • Assist doctors and clinical staff by providing patient records when required.
  • Update electronic medical records (EMR/HIS) accurately.
  • Prepare reports and statistics related to admissions, discharges, and procedures.
  • Support audits, medico-legal cases, insurance, and NABH/JCI documentation.
  • Identify missing documents and follow up with concerned departments.
  • Maintain record retention and disposal as per policy.

Qualifications & Skills:

  • Diploma or Degree in Medical Record Technology / Health Information Management.
  • Knowledge of medical terminology and clinical documentation.
  • Familiarity with hospital information systems.
  • Basic computer skills (MS Excel, Word)
  • Attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.

Experience:

  • Fresher / 1–3 years of experience in a hospital medical records department preferred.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: ₹20,000.00 - ₹30,000.00 per month
