Medical Scribe

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Medical Scribe to support a board-certified Psychiatrist. In this dynamic, on-the-go role, you will accompany the physician during daily patient rounds across multiple facilities (e.g., clinics, hospitals, or treatment centers). You’ll assist with documentation, pre-rounding on patients, and presenting findings to the physician, helping streamline care delivery and optimize clinical efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:

• Pre-round on assigned patients by reviewing charts, labs, and history prior to physician arrival

• Present patient summaries to the psychiatrist before each encounter

• Document real-time clinical encounters using EMR systems

• Record psychiatric assessments, medication changes, mental status exams, and treatment plans

• Assist in managing clinical data, medication lists, and follow-up notes

• Maintain patient confidentiality and comply with HIPAA standards

• Communicate effectively with facility staff, patients, and care teams

Qualifications:

• Previous medical experience or exposure preferred (e.g., scribe, CNA, EMT, MA, LCW, LPM, RN, MD)

• Strong understanding or willingness to learn psychiatric medications and terminology

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills

• Highly organized, punctual, and adaptable to a mobile workday

• Comfortable working independently and as part of a care team

• Reliable transportation is required

Preferred:

• Background in psychology, pre-med, or related health sciences

• Experience in psychiatric or behavioral health settings

• Familiarity with EMR systems

Pay: $19.00 - $20.00 per hour
