Medical Scribe

Position Overview:
Mercy Clinic is seeking a detail-oriented and highly efficient Medical Scribe to join our team. The ideal candidate will work closely with healthcare providers to accurately document patient visits in real time. This is an excellent opportunity for those interested in gaining hands-on experience in a fast-paced clinical environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Accurately and efficiently document patient histories, physical exams, assessments, and treatment plans as dictated by providers
• Enter data into the electronic medical record (EMR) system during and/or after patient encounters
• Assist with locating patient records, lab results, imaging, and other relevant data
• Ensure all documentation meets legal and quality standards
• Maintain patient confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA guidelines

Requirements:

• Must be able to type a minimum of 70 words per minute
• High school diploma or equivalent (college coursework in healthcare or science is a plus)
• Strong attention to detail and excellent listening skills
• Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a clinical setting
• Familiarity with medical terminology and EMR systems is preferred but not required
• Professional demeanor and strong communication skills

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $15.00 - $20.00 per hour
