Medical Scribe for Pediatric Center

Schedule: Monday through Friday 7:30am- 4:30pm

Compensation Range $22-$24

Job Summary:

The Medical scribe will be an assistant to a physician, enhancing efficiency by documenting patient encounters, medical histories, and examination finding in real-time with electronic medical records.

Duties/ responsibilities:

-Documenting accurate, detailed notes of patient visits,

including history of present illness, physical exams, and assessments.

-Navigating the EMR (Electronic Medical Record) to input information, locate past records, and enter results or orders under physician guidance.

-Communicating with patient’s parents to document accurate information.

-Assisting with documentation such as school forms and other types of forms.

-Assisting and being physically present in the exam room with the provider

-Performs other clerical duties and tasks to improve provider productivity and office

workflow as assigned.

- Ensure all medical records are complete, accurate, and compliant with healthcare regulations and privacy standards.

Required Skills/Abilities:

-Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal skills

-Fluent in English and Spanish is required

-Medical terminology from prior experience or pre-medical degree

-Organizational Skills

Education and Experience:

-High school Diploma

-Prior Medical Education background is preferred

- Prior experience in a medical office setting or as a medical scribe is highly preferred.

Physical Requirements:

-Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk

Compliance & Safety

-Follow HIPPA guidelines and protect patient confidentiality.

-Adhere to OSHA standards, infection-control protocols, and clinical policies.

-Participate in emergency response procedures
