Medical Transcriptionist/LVN or RN - FULL Time

You will transcribe dictation by the physician/owner regarding patient assessment, workup, therapeutic procedures, clinical course, diagnosis, prognosis, etc., editing dictated material for grammar and clarity, as necessary and appropriate. Transciptionist will also be trained to perform physical exams. PRESENCE AT THE CLINIC IS REQUIRED. Transcriptionist will be a licensed LVN or RN only.

Responsibilities:

  • Transcribe medical reports using all available technology accurately and in a timely fashion.
  • Maintain ongoing personal education and reference library to ensure continuous quality improvement.
  • Responsible for maintaining knowledge of new procedures, medications, etc.
  • Reviews reports for completeness and corrects errors in transcription, grammar, punctuation, and spelling.
  • Corrects omissions or inconsistencies found.

Requirements:

  • Must be willing to work Full Time
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in acute care transcription with a broad base of knowledge in all areas of medicine.
  • Strong background in Medical terminology.
  • Excellent English language skills.
  • Microsoft Word and Internet experience.
  • Excellent keyboard skills and able to type at least 50 wpm
  • Ability to maintain a high level of concentration for extended periods of time.
  • Ability to meet productivity expectations.
  • Must have basic medical assisting experience
