Position Overview

The Greater Hyannis Chamber of Commerce is seeking a motivated and personable Membership Sales Representative to help grow our organization by recruiting new members. This commission-only based role is perfect for someone who enjoys networking, connecting with businesses, and sharing the value of Chamber membership.

The successful candidate will be responsible for driving membership growth, educating prospective members on Chamber benefits, and contributing to the overall strength of the business community on Cape Cod.

Key Responsibilities

· Identify and recruit prospective members through networking, outreach, referrals, and local business visits.

· Present and clearly communicate the benefits of Chamber membership.

· Maintain accurate records of sales leads, follow-ups, and conversions in ChamberMaster.

· Collaborate with Chamber staff to onboard new members and ensure a smooth transition into the organization.

· Provide regular updates on progress to the President/CEO.

Qualifications

· Strong interpersonal, networking, and relationship-building skills.

· Prior sales, business development, or customer service experience preferred.

· Self-motivated, goal-oriented, and comfortable working independently.

· Knowledge of the Greater Hyannis business community a plus.

Compensation

This is a commission-only role, offering unlimited earning potential. The Chamber provides training, support, and sales materials. You can work as little or as much as you'd like.

Commission Structure (based on industry best practices):

· 20% commission on the first-year dues of every new member recruited.

· Tiered Bonus Incentives:
- 10 new members in a quarter = $300 bonus
- 20 new members in a quarter = $700 bonus

Reporting

This position reports directly to the President/CEO of the Greater Hyannis Chamber of Commerce
