Responsibilities

We are seeking a highly experienced and dynamic MEP (Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing) Director to lead our data center projects in NEOM. The MEP Director will be responsible for overseeing the design, implementation, and maintenance of all MEP systems, ensuring they meet the highest standards of performance and reliability.

  • Lead and manage the MEP team, including engineers and technicians, providing guidance, support, and professional development opportunities.
  • Develop and implement MEP strategies and plans that align with the company’s goals and objectives.
  • Oversee the design, construction, and commissioning of MEP systems for data center projects.
  • Ensure projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards.
  • Coordinate with other departments, including architecture, construction, and IT, to ensure seamless project execution.
  • Provide technical leadership in the design and implementation of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems.
  • Ensure compliance with industry standards, codes, and regulations.
  • Review and approve MEP designs, specifications, and drawings.
  • Implement best practices for the operation and maintenance of MEP systems to ensure optimal performance and efficiency.
  • Develop and manage MEP budgets, schedules, and resources.
  • Identify and mitigate risks related to MEP systems.

Experience & Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field. A master’s degree is preferred.
  • 15+ years of experience in MEP design, construction, and management, with a focus on data centers or mission-critical facilities.
  • Strong knowledge of MEP systems, including HVAC, electrical distribution, fire protection, and plumbing.
  • Proven experience in leading and managing teams.
  • Excellent project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Professional engineering license (PE) or equivalent certification is preferred.
