MEP Draftsman

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare detailed shop drawings, working drawings, and as-built drawings.
• Interpret architectural and engineering designs and convert them into technical drawings.
• Coordinate with engineers, architects, and site teams to ensure accuracy and feasibility of designs.
• Revise drawings based on design changes, site conditions, and client feedback.
• Ensure drawings comply with UAE authority regulations (Dubai Municipality, DEWA, ADDC, SEWA, etc.).
• Maintain organized records of all drawings and revisions.
• Assist in material take-offs and quantity calculations when required.
• Support project teams during construction and approval stages.

Requirements & Qualifications

• Diploma or certification in Drafting, Civil Engineering, Architecture, or a related field.
• Proven experience as a Draftsman in the UAE (preferred).
• Proficiency in AutoCAD (mandatory); knowledge of Revit, BIM, or SketchUp is an advantage.
• Good understanding of construction methods, materials, and standards in the UAE.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
• Strong attention to detail and time-management skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Experience

• Minimum 5-7 years of relevant drafting experience (depending on discipline).
• Experience in UAE construction projects is highly preferred.
