MEP Draughtsman

Job Summary:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced MEP Draughtsman to join our growing interior fit-out team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for preparing accurate and coordinated MEP drawings (Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing) for high-end interior fit-out projects, ensuring compliance with design specifications, local authority regulations, and project timelines.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare detailed MEP shop drawings, coordination drawings, and as-built drawings for interior fit-out projects.
• Interpret design layouts, architectural drawings, and project specifications to create accurate MEP drawings.
• Coordinate MEP services with architectural and ID layouts, ensuring clash-free integration.
• Work closely with MEP engineers, site teams, and consultants to incorporate required changes and updates in drawings.
• Ensure that all MEP drawings meet local authority requirements (DEWA, DM, DCD, etc.).
• Maintain and update drawing logs, revision records, and document control in line with project requirements.
• Conduct site visits for as-built drawing preparation and support installation teams with detailed drawings when required.
• Support the project team in material take-offs and basic quantity estimations based on drawings.
• Ensure all work complies with UAE regulations and standards.

Requirements:

• Minimum 2 years UAE experience in a similar role within an interior fit-out company.
• Diploma or degree in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering or a related technical field.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD; knowledge of Dialux is an advantage.
• Good understanding of MEP systems in fit-out works including HVAC, plumbing, drainage, and electrical layouts.
• Familiar with UAE local authority regulations (DEWA, DM, DCD, etc.).
• Strong attention to detail and the ability to work under tight deadlines.
• Excellent communication and coordination skills.
• Ability to work independently and within a team environment.
