MEP ENGINEER

Position Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled MEP Engineer with over 10 years of experience in Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing systems within the construction industry. The candidate must hold a valid driving license and be capable of managing complex projects, coordinating with multidisciplinary teams, and ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, review, and oversee installation of Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing systems.
• Coordinate with architects, civil engineers, and contractors to integrate MEP systems into overall project plans.
• Prepare and review technical drawings, specifications, and BOQs.
• Ensure compliance with Oman’s building codes, labor laws, safety regulations, and permitting requirements.
• Supervise site execution and ensure adherence to project schedules.
• Conduct inspections and quality checks for MEP works.
• Manage procurement schedules and ensure timely delivery of materials.
• Troubleshoot technical issues and provide engineering solutions.
• Ensure compliance with local codes, safety regulations, and international standards.
• Prepare progress reports and present updates to management and clients.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering or related discipline.
• Minimum 10 years of experience in MEP engineering within construction projects.
• Proven track record in managing large-scale projects.
• Strong knowledge of HVAC, electrical distribution, plumbing, and fire protection systems.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, and project management software.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• In-depth knowledge of Oman’s construction laws, labor regulations, and permitting processes.
• Valid driving license (mandatory).

Preferred Skills

• Fluency in English & Hindi. Knowledge of Arabic is an added advantage.
• PMP or equivalent project management certification.
• Experience in sustainable building systems and energy-efficient designs.
• Familiarity with BIM (Building Information Modeling).
• Strong negotiation and stakeholder management skills.
