MEP Engineer – Interior Fit-Out Projects

Job Description

We are looking for an experienced MEP Engineer with strong interior fit-out project experience to join our growing team in Dubai. The ideal candidate will be hands-on, site-oriented, and capable of managing MEP works from design coordination to execution and handover.

Female candidates are preferred, and a valid UAE driving license is mandatory as the role involves frequent site visits.

Key Responsibilities Design & Coordination

• Review and coordinate MEP drawings (HVAC, Electrical, Plumbing, Drainage, Fire Fighting) in line with interior layouts.
• Coordinate with interior designers, QS, project managers, and site engineers to avoid clashes.
• Ensure MEP designs comply with Dubai Municipality, DEWA, DCD, and local authority standards.
• Prepare and review shop drawings, material submittals, and method statements.

Site Execution

• Supervise and manage MEP installation works at site for interior fit-out projects.
• Ensure works are executed as per approved drawings, BOQs, and specifications.
• Coordinate with subcontractors and suppliers for timely execution.
• Conduct regular site inspections and quality checks.
• Monitor manpower productivity and material usage.

Testing, Commissioning & Handover

• Plan and supervise testing & commissioning of all MEP systems.
• Prepare snag lists, ensure rectification, and support final inspections.
• Assist in preparation of as-built drawings, O&M manuals, and handover documents.

Cost & Schedule Control

• Support QS and project manager in quantity take-offs and variation identification.
• Track MEP progress and report delays or risks.
• Ensure works are completed within approved budget and timelines.

Health, Safety & Compliance

• Ensure strict adherence to HSE standards on site.
• Identify potential risks and report non-compliance immediately.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree / Diploma in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering
• Minimum 3–5 years of UAE experience in interior fit-out projects
• Strong knowledge of MEP systems specific to interiors
• Familiar with local authority approvals and inspections

Mandatory Requirements

• Valid UAE Driving License
• Interior Fit-Out MEP Experience (Mandatory)
• Ability to handle multiple sites simultaneously
• Good communication skills (English required; Arabic is a plus)

Salary & Benefits

• Salary: AED 3,000 – 4,000 (depending on experience)
