MEP Estimation Engineer

Duties & Responsibilities :

• Review and analyze mechanical, electrical, and plumbing drawings, specifications, tender documents, and scope of work.
• Prepare detailed cost estimates for MEP systems including HVAC, plumbing, fire protection, and electrical services.
• Perform quantity take-offs and prepare BOQs using drawings, site surveys, and project documents.
• Request, review, and evaluate supplier and subcontractor quotations for accuracy and competitiveness.
• Coordinate with construction managers, project engineers, and clients to clarify scope, requirements, and technical queries.
• Prepare cost comparison sheets, rate build-ups, and estimation breakdowns.
• Assist in preparing tender proposals, budgets, and technical submissions for bidding.
• Update cost databases, vendor price lists, and estimation records for future reference.
• Identify material, manpower, equipment, and subcontracting requirements for project costing.
• Evaluate risks, value engineering opportunities, and alternative proposals to ensure cost efficiency.
• Support post-tender activities including negotiation, award, and handing over to project execution teams.
• Track market trends and pricing to maintain competitive and accurate estimates.
• Ensure all estimations comply with project specifications, local regulations, and company standards.

Qualifications & Experience Required

• Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.
• Minimum 3–5 years of experience in MEP estimation with High Rise Projects in UAE.
• Strong knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, fire-fighting, and electrical systems in building projects.
• Proven experience in preparing cost estimates, BOQs, tender submissions, and bid documentation.
• Hands-on experience using estimation and quantity take-off software (e.g., AutoCAD, Planswift, Excel).
