MEP Prourement Engineer

1. Procurement & Sourcing:

 Review project specifications, IFC drawings, BOQs, and material requirements for HVAC, plumbing, drainage, fire-fighting, and chilled water systems.

 Prepare detailed RFQs in accordance with UAE standards and approved vendor lists (AVL).

 Source and prequalify suppliers and subcontractors per project and client requirements.

 Negotiate pricing, payment terms, delivery schedules, and commercial conditions.

 Issue Purchase Orders in accordance with company procedures and approved budgets.

2. Compliance & Technical Coordination:

 Ensure all mechanical materials comply with DM, DEWA, DCD, and civil defense codes for Dubai.

 Coordinate with engineering teams for technical evaluations and material submittal preparations.

 Follow up with suppliers for material submittal documents, samples, and certifications.

3. Vendor & Supplier Management:

 Maintain strong relationships with local and international vendors in Dubai’s construction market.

 Evaluate suppliers based on pricing, quality, approved listings, and past project performance.

 Monitor supplier delivery schedules to align with project timelines.

4. Documentation, Follow-up & Reporting:

 Maintain procurement logs, PO trackers, and delivery schedules as per project requirements.

 Prepare technical-commercial comparison sheets for management approval.

 Ensure proper documentation including compliance certificates, warranties, test reports, and shipments.

 Coordinate with logistics and warehouses for customs, clearance, and site deliveries.
