MEP QA/QC Engineer

Responsible for implementing and maintaining quality assurance and quality control procedures for Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing (MEP) works. Ensure all installations comply with project specifications, authority regulations, and international standards.

Key Responsibilities:Quality Control & Inspection

• Conduct inspections of MEP works (HVAC, plumbing, firefighting, electrical systems).
• Ensure compliance with approved drawings, method statements, and specifications.
• Prepare and submit Inspection Requests (IRs) and follow up for approvals.
• Monitor site activities to ensure adherence to QA/QC procedures.

Documentation & Reporting

• Maintain QA/QC records, checklists, and logs.
• Review and approve Material Submittals, Shop Drawings, and Method Statements.
• Prepare ITPs (Inspection & Test Plans) and ensure implementation.
• Handle NCRs (Non-Conformance Reports) and ensure corrective actions.

Testing & Commissioning

• Coordinate testing of MEP systems (pressure testing, cable testing, etc.).
• Witness inspections with consultants and client representatives.
• Assist in pre-commissioning and commissioning activities.

Standards & Compliance

• Ensure compliance with:
• DEWA / ADDC / SEWA regulations
• Civil Defense requirements
• International standards (ASHRAE, NFPA, IEC, etc.)

Coordination

• Coordinate with site engineers, consultants, and subcontractors.
• Attend QA/QC meetings and site inspections.
• Support project handover documentation and snagging/ de-snagging.

Required Skills:

• Strong knowledge of MEP systems (HVAC, Electrical, Plumbing, Firefighting)
• Familiar with UAE authority approvals and procedures
• Good understanding of QA/QC processes and documentation
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings
• Strong communication and reporting skills

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree / Diploma in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering
