MEP Tendering & Procurement Engineer- FIT-OUT BACKGROUND IS PREFERRED

We are seeking a highly meticulous and experienced MEP Tendering & Procurement Engineer to join our team. In this role, you will be the backbone of our MEP commercial activities, ensuring that our high-end interior fit-out projects are cost-effective, technically sound, and delivered with the highest quality standards. You will manage the full lifecycle from initial bid estimation to final material procurement.

Key Responsibilities (Job Description)

  • Tendering & Estimation:
  • Review tender documents, drawings, and specifications to identify MEP requirements.
  • Perform accurate take-offs and prepare comprehensive Bill of Quantities (BOQ).
  • Prepare detailed cost breakdowns and derive the direct cost for MEP works.
  • Procurement & Sourcing:
  • Sourcing and selecting nominated suppliers, vendors, and subcontractors specializing in Fit-out MEP (Lighting, HVAC, Firefighting, and Plumbing).
  • Requesting and analyzing quotations; preparing technical and commercial comparison sheets.
  • Negotiating prices and terms with subcontractors to ensure the best value without compromising quality.
  • Execution Support:
  • Following up on material deliveries to ensure they align with the project timeline.
  • Ensuring all MEP materials comply with the project specifications and client standards.
  • Collaborating with the design team to suggest "Value Engineering" options to optimize costs.

Requirements & Qualifications

  • Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering.
  • Experience: At least 5 years of specialized experience in Tendering and Procurement.
  • Previous experience in Interior Fit-out projects is highly preferred.
  • Technical Skills:
  • Professional proficiency in AutoCAD (for reviewing and verifying drawings).
  • Expert level in MS Office (specifically advanced Excel for cost comparisons).
  • Deep understanding of MEP codes and Fit-out material standards.
  • Soft Skills:
  • Strong negotiation and communication skills.
  • High attention to detail and ability to work under tight deadlines (ASAP mindset).
  • Analytical thinking to solve complex pricing and technical discrepancies.
