We are seeking a highly analytical and motivated M&A Associate to join our investment team
Key Responsibilities
- Participate as a core deal team member on buy-side and sell-side M&A transactions.
- Develop robust financial models (LBO, DCF, merger models, accretion/dilution) and conduct sensitivity/scenario analysis to support investment decisions.
- Perform valuation analysis, benchmarking, and comparable company / precedent transaction analysis for active deals and portfolio companies.
- Build investment cases, develop investment theses, and prepare detailed transaction memoranda, investment committee decks, and pitchbooks.
- Create and manage Confidential Information Memoranda (CIM), private placement decks, and other deal marketing materials.
- Lead and coordinate confirmatory due diligence workstreams across legal, tax, financial, commercial, and operational functions.
- Liaise with legal counsel and internal management on term sheets, LOIs, SPA/SSA, and other deal documentation.
- Consult with portfolio management teams to support value creation plans, integration strategies, and long-term strategic decision-making.
- Conduct market, competitive, and financial research on target sectors, assets, and companies to support pipeline development.
- Travel as required for deal sourcing, diligence, and execution activities.
Skills & Qualifications
- Proven knowledge of financial modelling, corporate finance, and financial analysis.
- Proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, MS Office, and financial software applications.
- Hands-on experience with modelling packages and data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI, PitchBook, Capital IQ, FactSet).
- Strong understanding of accounting, tax laws, capital markets, and capital markets.
- Exceptional analytical and critical thinking skills with high attention to detail.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently and take ownership of projects end-to-end.
- Desire to excel in a fast-paced and dynamic entrepreneurial environment.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills for preparing high-quality investment materials.
- Strong organizational and project management skills to coordinate multiple stakeholders and workstreams.
- Willingness to travel as needed.
Preferred Background
- 2–5 years of experience in investment banking, private equity, corporate development, or management consulting.
- Bachelor’s degree in finance & Accounting or CFA
