Mid-Level QA Engineer (Manual + Basic Automation)

We’re looking for a Mid-Level QA Engineer who can ensure our web application stays stable, reliable, and user-friendly. You’ll work closely with developers and product/design to test new features, catch issues early, and help improve overall quality through clear processes and best practices.

Responsibilities

• Perform manual testing for new features, bug fixes, and releases (web + responsive).
• Create and maintain test cases, checklists, and test plans based on requirements.
• Execute regression testing before deployments and ensure key flows are stable.
• Report bugs with clear steps, expected vs actual results, screenshots/videos, and severity.
• Collaborate with developers to reproduce issues and verify fixes.
• Support API testing using tools like Postman (basic to intermediate).
• Ensure quality in common areas like:
• Authentication & roles
• Forms and validations
• UI/UX consistency and responsiveness
• Cross-browser testing (Chrome, Firefox, Safari)
• Help improve QA best practices (test documentation, release checklist, risk-based testing).
• Optional (Nice to have): Write or assist with basic automation scripts for repetitive test flows.

Required Skills & Experience

• 1.5-2 years of QA experience (or strong equivalent experience/projects).
• Strong understanding of QA fundamentals:
• Test planning, test case design, regression testing, exploratory testing
• Bug lifecycle and defect reporting
• Familiar with best practices:
• Risk-based testing
• Smoke vs regression testing
• Clear documentation and test coverage mindset
• Experience with bug tracking tools like ClickUp .
• Comfortable doing basic API testing (GET/POST, headers, status codes, payload validation).
• Good communication skills and ability to work with a team.

Nice to Have (Not Mandatory)

• Basic automation exposure (Cypress / Playwright / Selenium).
• Basic SQL knowledge to validate data in the database.
• Experience testing Laravel / Node / React apps.
• Understanding of CI/CD testing flow (just awareness is enough).

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: Rs40,000.00 per month
