Job Summary
We are seeking motivated and detail-oriented Millwright Helpers to join our dynamic manufacturing team. In this role, you will assist skilled millwrights in installing, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing industrial machinery and equipment within a fast-paced manufacturing facility. Your proactive approach and technical aptitude will contribute to ensuring optimal equipment performance, safety, and efficiency. Responsibilities
- Support the installation, alignment, and assembly of machinery using schematics, technical drawings, and precision measuring instruments.
- Assist with routine maintenance tasks on equipment such as hydraulics, electrical systems, and mechanical components.
- Use hand tools, power tools, welding equipment (<LOCATION> welding), and precision instruments like ammeters and ohmmeters to perform repairs and adjustments.
- Help troubleshoot issues related to programmable logic controllers (PLCs), low voltage systems, high voltage circuits, and industrial electrician components.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities using Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS).
- Operate scissor lifts and other field service equipment safely to access elevated or hard-to-reach machinery.
- Follow safety protocols related to HVAC/R systems, hydraulics, electrical work, and industrial mechanics to ensure a secure work environment.
Requirements
- Prior experience in an industrial mechanic or manufacturing facility environment is highly preferred.
- Knowledge of mechanical systems, schematics, and industrial maintenance practices.
- Familiarity with electrical systems including low voltage, high voltage, and troubleshooting with ammeters and ohmmeters.
- Ability to read technical drawings and schematics accurately.
- Experience working with programmable logic controllers (PLCs), CMMS software, hydraulics, HVAC/R systems, welding (<LOCATION> welding), and precision measuring instruments.
- Strong analysis skills for diagnosing issues quickly and effectively.
- Excellent customer service skills when interacting with team members or external vendors during field service tasks.
- Ability to operate a scissor lift safely and adhere to safety standards related to high voltage electrical work.
- Military background or experience in industrial electrician roles is a plus.
