Job Summary
The Modern Trade Marketing Manager is responsible for driving sales performance across assigned modern trade chains by developing and executing effective sales strategies. The role focuses on achieving sales targets, strengthening key account relationships, and leading the sales team to deliver sustainable growth in line with company objectives.
Key Responsibilities

Develop and implement effective sales strategies to achieve overall company sales targets across assigned modern trade chains.

Build and maintain strong, professional relationships with key decision-makers within assigned customer accounts.

Monitor and analyze sales performance of international chains and local key accounts, identifying gaps and recommending improvement actions.

Lead, coach, and motivate the sales team, ensuring alignment with team objectives and overall business goals.

Establish and expand a strong network within customer organizations to influence decision-making and enhance business collaboration.

Prepare, lead, and conduct annual negotiations with key accounts, and supervise negotiations related to new products, shelf management, and promotions.

Monitor and ensure proper execution of the 5Ps (Product availability, Pricing, Promotion, Placement, and Share of Shelf), addressing issues promptly.

Achieve financial objectives by forecasting sales requirements, preparing annual budgets, analyzing variances, and initiating corrective actions.

Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment between sales, marketing, and operational activities.
Minimum Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Sales, or a related field.

7–10 years of experience in modern trade sales or key account management, preferably within the FMCG or food industry.

Proven experience managing major retail chains and leading sales teams.

Strong leadership and people management skills.

Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building abilities.

High level of analytical and problem-solving skills.

Results-driven with strong decision-making capability.

Solid understanding of modern trade dynamics, key account management, and retail execution.

Strong knowledge of sales forecasting, budgeting, and financial performance tracking.

Experience in negotiation, shelf management, and promotional planning.

Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word).

Experience using sales reporting tools or ERP/CRM systems is an advantage.

Fluent in English (written and spoken).

Ability to work under pressure.

Strong capability to manage multiple accounts and priorities simultaneously.

Willingness to travel as required to manage customer relationships and team activities.
