Morning Facility Coordinator / Front Desk "Anchor"

Job Description: Are you a retired professional, a stay-at-home parent with school-aged kids, or someone looking for a stable, community-focused role? D-BAT Columbus is looking for a reliable "Anchor" to run the ship during our daytime hours.

We aren’t just looking for someone to sit at a desk; we are looking for a mature, confident adult who takes pride in maintaining a professional environment. If you enjoy being the "face of the business," chatting with parents, and keeping things organized and running smoothly while the facility is buzzing, you’ll fit right in.

Why this role is perfect for you:

  • Predictability: No "on-call" chaos. We value your time and offer a consistent schedule that respects your life outside of work.
  • Ownership: You’ll be the primary point of contact during the day. We trust your judgment and your ability to handle the facility independently.
  • Community: You’ll become a familiar face to our local families and athletes, helping them navigate their training and memberships.

What You’ll Do (Running the Ship):

  • Lead the Front: Greet families and handle check-ins with a professional, welcoming attitude.
  • Manage Logistics: Confidently answer phones, schedule lessons, and help parents understand which memberships best fit their child’s goals.
  • Facility Pride: Ensure the pro shop, lobby, and cages are tidy and "game-day ready."
  • Troubleshooting: Handle basic pitching machine resets (we’ll train you!) and coordinate with instructors to keep the schedule on track.

Who We Are Looking For:

  • The Reliable Professional: You show up on time, every time, and take pride in a job well done.
  • The Communicator: You are comfortable talking to adults and parents, whether you're explaining pricing or just making small talk.
  • The Problem Solver: You don’t wait to be told what to do; you see a need and fill it.
  • The Multitasker: You can handle a ringing phone and a customer at the counter without breaking a sweat.

Qualifications:

  • Experience in customer service, retail, office administration, or "running a household" (we value life experience!).
  • Basic computer comfort for processing sales and scheduling.
  • A friendly, firm, and professional demeanor.
  • An interest in baseball/softball is a bonus, but your organizational skills are what matter most!

Pay: $13.00 - $16.00 per hour

Work Location: In person
