About the Role
The Motion Artist / Designer role is responsible for bridging the gap between static visual communication and high-impact motion content. We are looking for a versatile creator who can produce both polished static designs and compelling motion-based assets for the US market.
This position owns:
- Ad Creative Execution: Designing high-converting static and motion ads.
- Social Content Production: Crafting engaging reels and short-form video.
- Visual Storytelling: Translating marketing concepts into structured visual frameworks.
- Brand Consistency: Ensuring all output aligns with client brand guidelines and platform requirements.
The Motion Artist / Designer is expected to maintain high execution speed, maintain organized project files, and proactively suggest creative improvements to enhance ad performance.
Experience & Core Requirements
- 1–3 years of experience in graphic design, motion design, or a related creative role.
- Strong Portfolio: Demonstrated ability to create both static social media creatives and fluid motion graphics.
- Technical Proficiency: Advanced command of Adobe Photoshop (static) and Adobe After Effects (motion).
- Video Mastery: Proven ability to edit reels and short-form content specifically for social media platforms.
- AI Integration: Practical experience using AI design tools (e.g., Midjourney, Firefly, or equivalent) to accelerate creative workflows and asset generation.
- Performance Mindset: Understanding of how layout, typography, and motion influence user behavior and conversion metrics.
Hiring Requirements & Process
To ensure we bring on the highest caliber of creative talent, all applicants must undergo the following evaluation phases:
- Initial Shortlisting: Candidates are screened based on portfolio quality and technical relevance.
- Design Task (Phase 1): Shortlisted candidates will receive a specific design task. This task must be completed and submitted within 48 hours.
- On-Site Trial (Phase 2): Candidates who pass the design task will undergo a mandatory 1–2 day unpaid trial period at our Lahore office. Note: A functional laptop with Adobe Photoshop, After Effects, and necessary tools will be provided on-site for this evaluation.
- Evaluation Criteria: During the trial, we will assess design capability, motion skills, conceptual understanding, and ideation ability.
- Final Selection: Hiring decisions are made based on the candidate's ability to meet our creative and conceptual standards during the trial.
Static Design & Social Media Creatives
You will be responsible for designing high-quality static assets that capture attention in a crowded feed.
- Designing static creatives for social media posts, display ads, and diverse marketing campaigns.
- Applying strong principles of layout, typography, and color theory to ensure visual hierarchy.
- Structuring landing page visuals and static ad sets for maximum CRO (Conversion Rate Optimization).
- Maintaining strict adherence to brand guidelines across multiple US-based client accounts.
Motion Graphics & Video Editing
You will transform static concepts into dynamic experiences to drive engagement.
- Creating motion graphics, transitions, and animations for digital platforms.
- Converting static visuals into simple, effective animations to increase ad thumb-stop rates.
- Editing high-energy reels, TikToks, and short-form video content tailored to specific platform algorithms.
- Collaborating with the growth team to iterate on video hooks and visual pacing based on performance data.
Creative Workflow & AI Integration
At Digilatics, we value efficiency through technology.
- Developing AI-assisted design workflows to improve asset production speed without compromising quality.
- Utilizing LLMs or AI research tools to assist in visual conceptualization and mood-boarding.
- Building and maintaining organized project files and (SOPs) for creative versioning and exports.
Team Collaboration & Execution Discipline
The Motion Artist / Designer works within a fast-paced performance environment.
- Collaborating with the marketing and performance teams to align visuals with campaign goals.
- Managing personal task timelines to ensure 100% on-time delivery of assets.
- Reviewing work for technical accuracy (aspect ratios, file sizes, and platform specs) before delivery.
- Maintaining discipline regarding feedback loops and version control.
Tools & Technical Skills
Strong working experience with the following platforms is expected:
- Adobe Creative Suite: Photoshop (Expert), After Effects (Strong), Premiere Pro (Proficient).
- Figma: For collaborative design and UI/UX asset handoffs.
- AI Tools: Midjourney, Adobe Firefly, or similar generative AI platforms.
- Communication: Slack and Project Management tools (e.g., ClickUp/Asana).
Analytical Thinking & Problem Solving
This role requires more than "making things look pretty." You should be able to:
- Analyze why a specific creative performed well or poorly and suggest visual pivots.
- Solve technical challenges in motion workflows (e.g., optimization for fast loading).
- Translate complex marketing messages into simple, digestible visual formats.
KPIs Influenced by This Role
- Zero-mistake attitude (correct dimensions, spelling, and brand colors).
- Creative Performance: CTR (Click-Through Rate) and Thumb-stop rates on video content.
- Execution Speed: Turnaround time from brief to final asset.
