POSITION PURPOSE:
Serve as the single point of coordination for assigned internal, international, and domestic moves into and out of the local region.

RESPONSIBILITIES/DUTIES/FUNCTIONS TASKS:

  1. Manage the household goods process from booking to delivery, from origin to destination.
  2. Coordinate international moves with corporate clients, handling both imports and exports.
  3. Counsel clients to ensure the best ongoing experience regarding their household goods shipments, pack outs, deliveries, fine arts, etc.
  4. Manage the expectations of both domestic and international customers.
  5. Assist with answering questions and offering solutions to provide the best moving services.
  6. Coordinate with moving operations, customer service reps, sales, and crew leaders to stay updated on customer needs, service developments, and insurance matters.
  7. Support our preferred supplier relationships.
  8. Collaborate with the Pricing Analyst and Quoting department to price services and jobs cost-effectively.
  9. Confirm transport and service quotes from agents and vendors, requesting discounts when possible.
  10. Book export and import shipments with agents and vendors.
  11. Prepare waybill documentation for outgoing and incoming shipments.
  12. Verify customs documentation for import and export shipments.
  13. Monitor shipment documentation throughout the process.
  14. Close jobs with actual cost calculations, approved by the regional operations manager.
  15. Assist crew leaders with any special crew skill set or equipment needs for pack outs, deliveries, and shipments.
  16. Coordinate shipment schedules with crew leaders and customs specialists.
  17. Prepare main documents for individual moves.
  18. Update electronic files and documents daily throughout each move cycle.
  19. Meet or exceed service metrics and revenue goals.

Minimum requirements:

  • At least 1 year of moving coordination experience preferred.
  • Strong English skills (written and verbal) essential.
  • College degree preferred.
  • Excellent customer service skills.
  • Proficiency in PC applications: Word, Excel, Open Office, Windows.
  • Ability to work proactively in a diverse and inclusive organization.
  • Ability to build respectful relationships with customers, partners, and colleagues.
  • Excellent time management and multitasking skills.
  • Ability to work effectively under pressure.

WORK REQUIREMENTS:

  • Provide after-hours contact information for clients during service delivery.
  • Maintain frequent, consistent verbal and written communication.
  • Maintain regular, predictable attendance.
