Position Overview

Padgett Lawn Service is hiring a Commercial Landscape Maintenance Crew Member to service commercial properties primarily in Lexington and surrounding areas.

We start and end each day at:
5001 Park Central Ave, Nicholasville, KY

This is a hands-on outdoor position. Everyone contributes. No one sits on a mower all day. All crew members participate in mowing, trimming, cleanup, and property detailing.

Reliable attendance and consistent effort are required.

We are looking for dependable individuals who represent our company well on commercial properties throughout Central Kentucky.

Responsibilities

• Operate commercial zero-turn and walk-behind mowers (training provided)
• String trimming and edging
• Blowing off sidewalks and hard surfaces
• Mulch installation
• Bed maintenance and shrub pruning
• General commercial landscape maintenance
• Work efficiently as part of a 3–5 person crew
• Maintain professional standards on commercial properties

This position does not include supervising or driving the truck and trailer.

Requirements

• Valid driver’s license (must be insurable)
• We promote from within and require a license so employees are capable of advancing into higher-paying positions that include driving trucks and leading crews
• No experience required, but must be capable and willing to learn
• Ability to work at a steady pace throughout the day
• Ability to work in Kentucky weather (heat, humidity, rain, cold)
• Reliable attendance is mandatory
• Drug-free workplace
• Backgrounds considered but not automatically disqualifying

Schedule

• Typically 7:00 AM – 5:00 PM
• Hours may vary depending on season and weather

Pay & Advancement

• $15.00 per hour starting pay
• Opportunities to advance into higher-paying positions, including crew leader roles
• Advancement based on reliability, performance, and leadership ability
