Job Summary
The Management Trainee Officer (MTO) – Chemical Engineer will undergo structured training in the anodizing process of aluminium profiles. The role involves learning and assisting in chemical bath control, titration analysis, process monitoring, and quality assurance in the anodizing line. The trainee will support senior engineers in maintaining optimal chemical parameters to ensure high-quality anodized finishes and efficient plant operations.
Key ResponsibilitiesProcess Learning & Support
- Learn the complete anodizing process for aluminium profiles including pretreatment, etching, desmutting, anodizing, coloring, and sealing.
- Assist senior engineers in monitoring chemical parameters of anodizing tanks.
- Observe and support daily production operations of the anodizing line.
Laboratory & Chemical Analysis
- Perform titration tests to measure chemical concentrations in process baths.
- Conduct pH, temperature, and conductivity testing of anodizing solutions.
- Assist in preparing and standardizing chemical solutions and reagents.
Process Control
- Monitor chemical levels in tanks such as:
- Degreasing bath
- Etching bath
- Desmut bath
- Anodizing (sulfuric acid) bath
- Coloring bath
- Sealing bath
- Assist in chemical dosing and adjustments to maintain proper bath composition.
Quality Assurance
- Support quality checks to ensure uniform anodized coating thickness and surface finish.
- Help in identifying process deviations and defects such as stains, burns, or uneven coating.
- Ensure adherence to company quality standards and specifications.
Documentation & Reporting
- Maintain laboratory test records and titration reports.
- Assist in preparing daily chemical consumption and analysis reports.
- Record operational parameters and observations during shifts.
Safety & Compliance
- Follow all chemical safety procedures and PPE requirements.
- Assist in maintaining safe chemical handling and storage practices.
- Ensure compliance with environmental and safety regulations.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Chemical Engineering or Applied Chemistry.
- Fresh graduates or 0–1 year of relevant internship/industrial experience preferred.
