Nail Technician

Responsibilities

• Perform professional nail services such as manicures, pedicures, gel nails, acrylics, and other nail enhancements with precision and care
• Consult with clients to understand their desired look and recommend suitable nail designs or treatments based on color theory and current trends
• Maintain strict sanitation standards by properly cleaning tools and workstations to ensure client safety and hygiene compliance
• Provide additional beauty services including eyelash extensions, body waxing, hair styling, or hair extensions when qualified
• Upsell retail products like nail care items or skincare products to enhance client satisfaction and meet sales goals
• Educate clients on proper nail care routines, maintenance tips, and aftercare instructions for long-lasting results
• Keep detailed records of services provided and client preferences for future appointments

Experience

• Proven experience as a Nail Technician or in a similar beauty service role with a strong portfolio of nail art and design work
• Knowledge of color theory, nail care techniques, sanitation protocols, and current industry trends
• Familiarity with esthetic laser treatments, dermabrasion, hair threading, barbering, and other complementary beauty services is a plus
• Excellent communication skills to effectively engage with clients and understand their needs
• Ability to upsell retail products confidently while maintaining a friendly customer service approach
• Certification in cosmetology or esthetician licensing as required by local regulations
• Prior experience in retail sales or retail math is advantageous for meeting sales targets
