Nanny

Overview:

We are seeking a caring and experienced nanny to provide dedicated and nurturing care for our 13 month old daughter and soon to be 4 year old son. The ideal candidate should have a genuine love for children, possess relevant childcare experience, and be committed to creating a safe and stimulating environment for our child's development. If interested, this is a long-term opportunity for someone interested in growing with a family over multiple years. Both parents work from home, and we are looking for a professional caregiver who can confidently and independently manage the children’s day.

Location: Family Residence - Hurley, NY

Hours: Full-Time - 30-39 hours a week (M-F) Flexible start date

Start Date: April/May (or as agreed upon)

Both Mom and Dad work remotely, with private office space that we spend the majority of our day in.

Our ideal nanny has experience with infants and can bring an informed perspective on activities and ways to engage with them.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide attentive and nurturing care for our 13 month old daughter and soon to be 4 year old son
• Create a safe and stimulating environment conducive to the children's overall development.
• Engage children in educational activities, playtime, arts and crafts, and outdoor adventures to promote development and creativity
• Spend time outdoors year-round (park visits, walks, active play)
• Prepare or serve meals and snacks.
• Change diapers and ensure proper hygiene practices.
• Maintain a consistent daily routine for feeding, napping, and playtime.
• Engage in age-appropriate developmental activities to stimulate cognitive and motor skills.
• Monitor and ensure the child's safety at all times.
• Communicate effectively with parents about the child's daily activities, progress, and any concerns.
• Keep the child's play and living areas clean and organized.
• Maintain a clean and organized environment by assisting with light household chores such as cleaning up after activities and tidying play areas
• Collaborate with parents to understand individual needs and provide consistent caregiving aligned with family values

Qualifications:

• Proven experience working with children in roles such as babysitting, daycare, or nannying; preschool experience is highly valued.
• Understanding of infant development stages and needs.
• Comfortable performing light cleaning duties related to childcare areas.
• CPR and First Aid certification, specifically for infants.
• Strong communication skills and ability to follow parental guidelines.
• Patience, nurturing demeanor, and a genuine love for infant care.
• Ability to commit to the agreed-upon schedule.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable personal vehicle and a clean driving record
• COVID-19 and flu vaccination.
• Non-smoker.
• Authorized to work in the U.S.

Ideal Candidate:

• Warm, patient, and genuinely enjoys working with young children
• College-educated (background in early childhood education or related field is a plus)
• Demonstrated ability to engage children’s curiosity through hands-on learning and play
• Organized, proactive, and confident working in a home where parents are present
• Seeking a stable, long-term position with a family

Compensation:

• Competitive hourly rate (based on experience)
• W-2 employment

Performance Reviews:

Performance will be reviewed regularly based on the caregiver’s ability to meet the baby’s needs, adherence to parental guidelines, and overall contribution to the baby’s well-being and development.

Interview process:

• Phone screen (10-15 minutes).
• Video interview with both parents (60 minutes).
• Reference and background checks.
• In person visit
• Paid trial to learn about our children and our daily routine.
