Position Summary:
The National Maintenance Recruiter is responsible for driving and executing recruitment strategies for maintenance positions across assigned regions and leading the recruitment and onboarding of Service Technician in Training (SIT) and Maintenance Internship programs. This role proactively fills open maintenance positions and develops top talent by leveraging data-driven recruiting insights, innovative sourcing techniques, and strong institutional partnerships, while delivering a high-touch, positive candidate experience. A successful National Maintenance Recruiter is able to manage their time effectively, is detail oriented, a trustworthy team player, and takes pride in their work. In addition, this position needs to be accountable and attentive to provide excellent customer service skills when interacting with residents, associates and vendors.
Primary Responsibilities:

Responsible for full-cycle recruitment for maintenance positions, SIT and Maintenance Internship positions across assigned regions, including proactive sourcing, screening, interviewing, evaluating and recommending top talent; Prioritize timely, efficient hiring of current open and budgeted positions

Maintain and update the Application Tracking System (ATS) daily; Track and report key recruiting KPIs including time to fill, source effectiveness and retention benchmarks
- Collaborate directly with Regional Maintenance Directors (RMDs), Regional Leadership, National Maintenance Director, and onsite mentors to assess workforce needs, monitor regional hiring trends, and prioritize requisitions

Lead end-to-end recruitment for Maintenance Intern and SITs, including outreach to university and technical schools, attending all career fairs, sourcing, screening, interviewing, and onboarding top tier candidates

Manage onboarding and program readiness for Maintenance Interns and SITs, ensuring housing logistics, program materials, and training plans are aligned regionally with a high touch experience

Leverage recruiter KPIs, reporting and regional workforce insights to refine recruiting practices, optimize candidate pipeline health, and deliver actionable performance

Stay current on industry recruiting trends, trade school engagement and workforce development best practices

Actively participate in a positive team environment through teamwork, communication and excellence in service; Communicate regularly with the MIT & SIT Program Director and other teammates

Qualifications:

2 – 4 years of strong multi-family maintenance knowledge (HVAC, electrical, plumbing, etc.)
- Some recruiting experience preferred

Ability to manage high-volume requisition count in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment

Proficient in Application Tracking Systems, Microsoft Office Suite, and able to quickly adopt new recruiting platforms

Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills
- Sharp and thorough interview skills and must be proficient in working with all levels of leadership
- Willing and able to learn new software programs; Prioritizes finding ways to streamline processes with technology

Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with strong motivation to learn & contribute on a daily basis

Experienced in Microsoft products required (Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook)
