The Role:

• FINAL INSPECT:

  • Receive parts from the top conveyor and inspect per customer specifications.
  • Using a file or pencil grinder to move flash or excess metal
  • Place parts on lower conveyor to move to darkroom
  • Non-conforming parts will be placed on red trays for disposition.

  **Record and analyse in-process parameters

  DARKROOM:

  • Receive parts from lower conveyor and load in basket
  • Press button to cycle basket through wash, dye penetrate baths and drying oven
  • Pull into darkroom and inspect per customer specification.
  • Transfer to stores

  Other duties may be assigned.

  • Observes and complies with all federal, state, and local safety and environmental regulations associated with this job.
  • Aids supervisor in identifying training needs.
  • Attends and participates in all scheduled training and educational programs identified for this position.
  • Conducts housekeeping for personal work area and shared facility space.

Qualifications:

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.

LANGUAGE SKILLS: Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS: Ability to add and subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percentage, and to draw and interpret bar graphs.

REASONING ABILITY: Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving concrete variables in standardized situations.

Licenses, Certificate of registration: NDT Inspector exam must be passed each year to perform the job
