Network Analyst

Job Summary:

The Network Analyst will support the design, monitoring, troubleshooting, and optimization of the organization’s network infrastructure. The role involves maintaining stable network performance, resolving technical issues, assisting with upgrades, and ensuring secure and efficient connectivity across systems. The ideal candidate has hands-on experience with network operations, strong analytical skills, and a solid understanding of networking technologies.

Key Responsibilities:

• Monitor network performance (LAN, WAN, WLAN, VPN) and ensure optimal uptime and reliability.
• Troubleshoot network issues, perform root-cause analysis, and implement corrective actions.
• Assist in the installation, configuration, and maintenance of routers, switches, firewalls, and other network devices.
• Support network change management, upgrades, and patching activities.
• Analyze network traffic patterns and provide recommendations for improvements.
• Work with cross-functional IT teams to resolve connectivity and security problems.
• Maintain documentation of network diagrams, configurations, and technical procedures.
• Assist with network security controls, including access control, monitoring, and compliance checks.
• Support end users in resolving network-related incidents through the service desk.
• Participate in on-call rotation and provide timely escalation when required.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
• 1–3 years of relevant experience in network operations or support.
• Solid understanding of TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VLANs, routing & switching.
• Experience with network tools (e.g., Wireshark, SolarWinds, PRTG, Nagios).
• Hands-on Knowledge of Cisco or similar network devices.
• Basic understanding of firewalls, VPN, and network security concepts.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
• Good communication and documentation abilities.
