Network Engineer

As we continue our exciting growth plans, we seek talented people to join us. We are currently hiring a dynamic Network Engineer, responsible for strategic design, implementation, security, and lifecycle management of enterprise network infrastructure across data centers, remote offices, and cloud platforms. The ideal candidate should have deep technical expertise across multiple networking domains including core switching, next-generation firewalls, WAN optimization, zero trust architectures, and advanced network security aligned with DESC ISR and ISO 27001 standards.


Key Accountabilities:

Network Design & Architecture

  • Architect scalable and redundant Layer 2/3 network topologies using OSPF, BGP, HSRP/VRRP, VXLAN, and MPLS.
  • Design and implement SD-WAN solutions to ensure optimized traffic flow between cloud (Azure/AWS) and on-prem.


Implementation & Configuration

  • Configure and maintain enterprise-grade routers, firewalls, switches (Cisco, Fortinet, Aruba, Juniper).
  • Deploy NAC (802.1X), IPS/IDS, DDoS protection, and VPN solutions with multifactor authentication.
  • Oversee deployment of wireless LANs with controller-based systems (Aruba/Cisco) with seamless roaming.


Network Security & Compliance

  • Ensure end-to-end network segmentation and role-based access control across zones (user, DMZ, data center).
  • Maintain compliance with DESC ISR v3, ISO 27001, and TDRA standards for network security and logging.
  • Conduct vulnerability assessments, penetration test remediation, firewall rule audits, and hardening.


Monitoring, Optimization & Troubleshooting

  • Use tools such as SolarWinds, PRTG, Zabbix, and Wireshark to monitor and tune network performance.
  • Perform advanced packet captures and root cause analysis on complex latency, jitter, and throughput issues.
  • Configure SNMP traps, syslog, NetFlow/sFlow, and integration with SIEM (Splunk, QRadar, or equivalent).


Project & Vendor Management

  • Lead complex IT infrastructure and network projects including new office setup, data center migration, or disaster recovery deployments.
  • Define network SLAs with third-party vendors and ISPs. Evaluate service provider architecture and redundancy.
  • Manage contracts, RFPs, PoCs and technical evaluations for network-related procurements.


Documentation & Standardization

  • Maintain complete network documentation: topology diagrams, device inventories, IP addressing schemas, and change logs.
  • Develop SOPs for incident response, patch management, firmware upgrades, and failover testing.
  • Contribute to DR/BCP documentation and periodic simulation tests.


To Join our team, you will have:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Electronics, or IT; Master’s preferred.
  • Minimum 8+ years of hands-on experience in complex enterprise networks.
  • Deep technical knowledge of TCP/IP stack, routing protocols, NAT/PAT, ACLs, STP, QoS, GRE, IPsec.
  • Proven experience in multivendor environments (Cisco, Fortinet, Aruba, Juniper, Palo Alto).
  • Ability to operate under high-pressure environments.
  • Strong analytical thinking and documentation capability.
  • Independent ownership with proactive communication and incident handling.
  • Availability for 24/7 escalation support during major outages or changes.
  • Must be familiar with DESC ISR v3 and UAE cybersecurity mandates.
  • Experience working in regulated environments (GovTech, BFSI, or Freezone environments) is highly desirable.
