Responsibilities

Summary of Job Profile:

The Network Security Engineer will be responsible for implementing, managing, and supporting secure network infrastructures for enterprise clients. The role involves configuration and troubleshooting of firewall and security solutions including Fortinet, Juniper SRX, and Cisco Firepower (FTD), ensuring network protection, availability, and compliance with security policies.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

• Configure, deploy, and support Fortinet, Juniper SRX, and Cisco Firepower (FTD) firewall solutions.
• Implement and troubleshoot Site-to-Site and Remote Access VPNs (IPSec & SSL VPN).
• Monitor firewall logs, security alerts, and IPS/IDS events; perform basic incident analysis and escalate when required.
• Assist in firewall rule creation, policy modification, NAT configuration, and security hardening.
• Support network segmentation, VLAN implementation, and secure access controls.
• Provide L1/L2 troubleshooting for connectivity issues, outages, and performance degradations.
• Coordinate with vendor TAC (Fortinet, Juniper, Cisco) for issue resolution.
• Maintain documentation including configurations, diagrams, and technical reports (HLD/LLD support)
  
  

Requirements

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities (KSA’s) required to successfully perform the job:

• Hands-on experience with Fortinet, Juniper SRX, and Cisco FTD firewalls.
• Good understanding of TCP/IP, routing protocols (OSPF, BGP), VLANs, and switching concepts.
• Knowledge of firewall policies, NAT, VPN, IPS/IDS, and basic network security principles.
• Familiarity with security best practices and basic vulnerability management.
• Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills.
• Good communication and teamwork abilities.
  
  

Education, Experience, Licensure, Certification Required For The Position

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or related field.
• 2–5 years of hands-on experience in Network Security or Network Engineering.
• Preferred certifications: NSE 4, JNCIA-SEC, CCNA Security or equivalent.
