Network Support Engineer

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Respond to requests for technical assistance via phone, and electronically through email;
• Proactively identify, diagnose, analyze and troubleshoot issues;
• Diagnose and resolve technical hardware and software issues;
• Follow standard help desk procedures;
• Log interactions and administer help desk software;
• Establish and maintain service levels;
• Perform basic troubleshooting, monitor network implementations, and manage network device alarms;
• Provide regular status reports on tasks accomplished and ongoing issues;
• Maintain and support the communications network server software and hardware.

EDUCATION AND WORK EXPERIENCE

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Computer Science or Engineering
• 1-2 years’ relevant work experience

KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS REQUIRED

1. Strong concepts of IP routing & network designing;

2. Good troubleshooting and critical thinking skills to resolve complex problems;

3. Knowledge of wireless access controllers and access points;

4. Intermediate knowledge of network systems design principles and standards;

5. Knowledge of Cisco, Juniper or Huawei equipment and technologies;

6. Ability to work in teams and independently with candid professional attitude and excellent analytical skills;

7. Good written and verbal communication skills
