Newborn Care Specialist

NOW HIRING EXPERIENCED NEWBORN CARE PROVIDERS AND DAYTIME POSTPARTUM DOULAS

We are looking to hire motivated, hardworking, experienced Postpartum Doulas and Newborn Care Specialists for some of our clients located in the DMV. We are hiring committed people to connect with families with newborns.

Newborn Care Specialists, also called baby nurses, night nannies, and baby doulas, are trained professionals who offer guidance, support, and instruction to new parents during the first few months of their baby’s life. They typically work with families for six to sixteen weeks after the baby is born, but their services can be shortened or extended depending on the needs of the parents. Newborn care specialists are trained and experienced in all things related to newborns – from feeding and sleep schedules, to diaper changes, and overall baby care. They are also adept at helping new mothers recover from childbirth and manage their own health and well-being during the postpartum period.

Responsibilities Include:

● Feeding

● Breastfeeding Awareness and able to support breastfeeding goals

● Helping establish healthy sleeping

● Baby Soothing

● Education for the family

● Awake Care

● Straightening up the nursery

● Baby's laundry, as required

● Diaper changes

● Sterilizing and clean bottles/ pump parts

● Cleaning up after yourself

● Professionalism

REQUIREMENTS:

● Must live in MD/DC/Northern VA but be willing to work in NORTHERN VA

● Must have attended a reputable postpartum doula or newborn care training

● Previous, verifiable DAYTIME and/or OVERNIGHT experience with babies / newborns

● Excellent communication abilities

● Have reliable transportation to and from jobs

● Have verifiable references

● Complete a cleared background check

● Updated Vaccinations are Highly Encouraged but not required for all families.

Job Types: Contract, Temporary

Pay: $18.00 - $30.00 per hour

Expected hours: 8 per night, up to 5 nights per week, 7 nights per week possible, if interested.

● We prefer that you have completed a postpartum doula or newborn care specialist training within the last 1-3 years.

Experience:

● Childcare: 1 year (Required)

License/Certification:

● Driver's License (Required)

● CPR
