Newborn Nanny

A thoughtful Mendham family is seeking a nurturing, proactive nanny to care for their 18-month-old son and newborn (due June 2026). Care is needed 4 days per week, 10:00 AM – 6:00 PM, with occasional weekend availability appreciated. Interviews will begin March 2, 2026.

Responsibilities

• Provide attentive, loving daily care for toddler (and eventually infant)
• Create engaging, developmentally appropriate activities for both age groups
• Support feeding, naps, diapering, and consistent routines
• Foster imagination, creativity, and screen-free play
• Wash bottles and children’s dishes
• Clean and organize toys, play areas, meal area
• Fold and manage children’s laundry
• Provide frequent communication and updates throughout the day

Schedule

~10:00 AM – 6:00 PM, four days per week (ideally Monday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday)

Occasional weekends preferred

Compensation

• Hourly rate dependent on experience
• Industry-standard benefits (vacation, sick time, holidays off)

Requirements

• 3+ years of simultaneous infant & toddler experience

Eligible to work in the US

• CPR/First Aid certified

Fluent English

• Clean background and driving record
• Must have own reliable vehicle (possible driving in future)

They practice gentle discipline using natural consequences and believe in redirection rather than punitive measures. There are no pets in the home. The household does not allow pork products.
