About the Role:

The Non Union Janitor at Nissan Laredo plays a crucial role in maintaining a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for both employees and customers within the Consumer Support Services industry. This position ensures that all facilities, including offices, restrooms, and common areas, are thoroughly cleaned and well-maintained to uphold the company’s standards of hygiene and presentation. The janitor will be responsible for routine cleaning tasks as well as addressing any immediate cleaning needs that arise throughout the day. By performing these duties diligently, the janitor contributes directly to the overall customer experience and operational efficiency of the facility. This role requires attention to detail, reliability, and a proactive approach to facility upkeep to support a positive workplace atmosphere.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Previous experience in janitorial or custodial work preferred but not required.
  • Ability to perform physical tasks including lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods.
  • Basic understanding of cleaning chemicals and supplies, with a commitment to safety protocols.
  • Reliable attendance and punctuality.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience working in a consumer support or automotive service environment.
  • Familiarity with commercial cleaning equipment and procedures.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Strong communication skills to coordinate with team members and management.
  • Basic knowledge of workplace safety standards and regulations.

Responsibilities:

  • Perform daily cleaning tasks such as sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, dusting, and trash removal in all designated areas.
  • Clean and sanitize restrooms, including replenishing supplies and ensuring fixtures are in good working order.
  • Maintain cleanliness of break rooms, hallways, offices, and customer areas to meet company standards.
  • Report any maintenance issues or safety hazards to the appropriate personnel promptly.
  • Assist with setup and cleanup for special events or meetings as needed to ensure the facility is presentable.

The required skills for this role include effective time management and attention to detail to ensure all cleaning tasks are completed thoroughly and efficiently each day. This is a part time position 20 hours per week
