As a NPO Subject Matter Expert at Nokia, your primary job is to design Radio network for Nokia customers and partners, guiding and leading team of junior planning Engineers on planning tools. The NPO Subject Matter Expert designs, analyses, plans, and modifies network supporting customer strategies. Develops and evaluates network performance criteria and measurement methods. Conducts network architecture design, feasibility, and improvement methods.


  • Act as a trusted advisor to customers, addressing their design architecture needs and translating them into effective solutions.
  • Provide continuous mentorship and guidance to team members, fostering a culture of innovation and excellence. Suggests improvements and seeks opportunities for innovation.
  • Team lead experience / Achieved advanced skills and knowledge within network planning and design
  • Develops HLD/LLD for medium-high complexity network requirements, capacity planning and overall engineering support based on ongoing traffic trends.
  • Requires ability to communicate with functional leadership and customer team regarding team & technical matters.
  • Is willing to take on new roles or jobs appropriate to skill set in different environments and/or locations.
  • Provide support to pre-sales team during RFI/RFQ phase

You have:

  • 13+ years of experience in NPO Network Planning and Design
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience
  • Proficiency in LTE and 5G network design

It would be nice if you also had:

  • Experience with ATOLL, 9955 RNP
  • Knowledge of basic automation
  • Strong communication skills and ability to manage complex relationships
