1. Responsible for maintaining highest standards of nursing care for the patients in the respective cluster.

2. Account for the manpower needs of the nursing cluster in coordination with the Regional Nursing Manager.

3. Ensure that Nursing goals, policies and SOPs are communicated to and understood by nursing personnel by conducting periodic ward level discussions.

4. Supervise and approve the duty roster prepared by the Nurse Incharge.

5. Ensure that all employees in their respective cluster are adequately trained on job.

6. Responsible for implementation of CNE in coordination with the Nurse Educator and supervise clinical practices.

7. Ensure availability of adequate technical and nursing support to the entire healthcare team.

8. Take responsibility of Nursing Incharge during his/ her absence.

9. Compile all Nursing reports and preparation of cluster report to the Nursing Superintendent.

10. Conduct SOP audits to ensure adherence to the set SOPs.

11. Supervise the ―ward admission and discharge register‖ maintained by the Nurse Incharge and ensure accurate documentation adhering to the SOPs in the event of discharge, transfer or death case.

12. Ensure discipline among the staff in the respective cluster.

13. Supervise the inventory management process and monitoring the stock registers of ward equipment & drugs in the cluster wards.

14. Conduct periodic surprise audits on the maintenance of emergency & dangerous drugs including costly drugs available at the cluster.

15. Ensure the seamless coordination with RMO and Treating Consultants and others departments of Hospital for better Patient Care.

16. Work is mainly to supervise wards and departments

17. See that enough nursing staff is available in all wards throughout the day

18. Help the ward in charge with solving problems

19. Help newly appointed / promoted ward-in-charge to arrange duties

20. Get indents and establish good inter-personnel relations with their nursing staff, dietitian, laboratory workers, physiotherapist, X-ray workers, doctor, linen, keener etc.

21. Arrange duty rotation for nursing personnel in consultation with the nursing superintendent.

22. Take rounds of wards and departments and reports anything requiring attention.

23. See that registers are maintained in each ward as required.

24. Check to see that treatments are carried out as prescribed.

25. Check day-evening-night reports book

26. Maintains the nursing staff statistics and submit to authorities whenever required.

27. Check duty assignments book in each ward

28. Check drugs cabinet and medicine cupboards occasionally.

29. Act as liaison between the hospital and the public

30. Perform any other duty assigned by the nursing superintendent

31. Organises and plans nursing care activities of the departments of floor according to the hospital policies and service needs

32. Complies and submits nursing statistics to the concerned authorities

33. Conducts and attends to the departmental and internal meetings / conferences time to time.

34. Supervise the proper use and care of the equipment and supplies in the department

35. Evaluates nature and quantum of care required in each unit / ward.

Qualification:

· Bachelors in Nursing / Masters in Nursing

· Registered with State Nursing Council/MNC

· Experience: Should have experience as Ward in-charge of not less than 5 years

Total Experience: Minimum Experience:5 years. Should have experience as an Incharge of minimum 2 years

· Leadership Skills: Ability to motivate and coordinate employees, as well as deal with any disciplinary issues that may come up. The ability to lead and manage teams and projects

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: ₹65,000.00 - ₹75,000.00 per month
