Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU)
team. This role is open to both fresh graduates and experienced nurses who are passionate about delivering specialized care to critically ill and premature newborns. The NICU Nurse will play a vital role in providing round-the-clock clinical support, monitoring infants' health, assisting doctors in procedures, and supporting families during sensitive times.

Key Responsibilities

Patient Care & Monitoring

Provide specialized nursing care to premature and critically ill newborns in the NICU.

Monitor vital signs including heart rate, oxygen saturation, and respiratory status.

Administer medications, intravenous fluids, and feedings as prescribed.

Assist in procedures such as intubation, catheterization, and blood sampling.

Clinical Support

Collaborate closely with neonatologists, pediatricians, and other healthcare professionals.

Maintain accurate medical records of patient conditions, treatments, and progress.

Operate and monitor NICU medical equipment such as ventilators, incubators, and infusion pumps.

Support infection-control protocols to ensure a sterile and safe environment.

Family Education & Support

Provide emotional support and counseling to families of NICU patients.

Educate parents on newborn care, feeding techniques, and post-discharge follow-up.

Maintain open communication to update families on their infant's progress and care plan.

Emergency Response

Act swiftly and effectively in emergencies such as respiratory distress or cardiac arrest.

Assist in resuscitation procedures and stabilization of critical patients.

Ensure readiness for emergency equipment and supplies at all times.

Teamwork & Compliance

Work collaboratively with other nurses and staff to ensure seamless patient care.

Adhere to hospital protocols, ethical standards, and NICU best practices.

Participate in training programs, workshops, and continuous learning to enhance NICU expertise.

Support overall hospital initiatives and contribute to quality improvement programs.
Qualifications & Skills

Education: Bachelor's Degree/Diploma in Nursing from a recognized institution (mandatory).

Licensing: Valid Nursing Registration with the State Nursing Council.

Experience: 0-3 years (freshers with relevant internships/clinical exposure in NICU can apply).
