Nurse Educator

Qualification: B.Sc Nursing/M.Sc Nursing

  • She/He shall work under direct guidance and supervision of the Nurse Tutor-in-charge of the Training School or under Chief Nursing Services.
  • She/He shall actively participate and help the Nurse Tutor-in-charge to carry out all the duties and responsibilities formulated for the Nurse Tutor-in-charge with respect to: -

◦ Implementation of curriculum for the Student Nurses.

◦ Health/sickness, recreation and professional activities of Trainee Nurses.

◦ Staff Education Programme.

  • She/ He is responsible for providing education and training for all employees in the nursing department.
  • She/ He will provide education to the nurses in maintaining the quality of care according to NABH policies, Hospital policies and governmental regulations.
  • She/ He functions as a consultant, educator and facilitator for all nursing staff including nurses and mental health techs. He/she will provide orientation, mandatory in-services, continuing education and other training to meet all department and facility needs and regulatory requirements. He/she will be an active member in quality assurance and process improvement activities.
  • She/ He will evaluate the performance of the staff on regular basis to review the effectiveness of the training and staff.

  • Clinical support and ongoing education of nurses
  • Assessment of nurses using clinical competencies
  • Identify and respond to the learning needs of individuals and the service
  • Prepare the pre defined training calendar as per training need to the staff.
  • Provide the Training material and conduct exams.
  • Evaluation of the effectiveness of education within the organization
  • Educate the staffs regarding updated clinical practices, safe patient care, patient, employee safety measures.
  • Promote and participate in quality improvement activities and organizational accreditation processes
  • Participate in relevant committees, meetings and service activities as required and provide relevant feedback and dissemination of appropriate information
  • Assess and evaluate the quality of education and patient service resources and equipment required to meet the standard and patient requirements.
  • Ensure implementation of policies and procedures to ensure workplace health and safety standards are provided and maintained.
  • Take care of others in the workplace and cooperate with employer. - Supervise employees to ensure adherence

of safety policies and procedures.

  • Demonstrate accountability for nursing practice.
  • Demonstrate a high level of understanding, knowledge and skills in critical care and retrieval nursing.
  • Demonstrate expert clinical knowledge through problem solving and decision making.
  • Undertake the necessary components of the performance review process
  • Contribute to the nursing education component of the strategic plan of the organization.

Duties in respect to Clinical Supervision:

  • She/He shall be directly responsible for supervision and evaluation of Trainee Nurses/ Staff Nurses in all the shifts in the hospital wards and Community field.
  • She/He shall schedule her/his students‟ clinical practice in consultation with the Nurse In-Charge.
  • During her/his clinical supervision and evaluation in the wards, She/He shall take an account of the Nursing care rendered by individual nurses in their day-to-day practice.

Duties towards the Profession:

  • She/He shall maintain the professional ethics.
  • She/He shall encourage her/his colleagues to maintain professional ethics and participate in professional activities.
  • She/He shall try to keep her/his professional knowledge up-to-date and encourage her/his colleagues to do the same.
  • She/He shall help to prepare materials whenever necessary for organizing publicity for Nursing and stimulating interest of the Community Nursing.
  • She/He shall perform any other duty allotted to her/him by the Chief Nursing Services as and when situation is called for.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹35,000.00 - ₹45,000.00 per month
