Job Description: Nursing Incharge

Position: Nursing Incharge
Department: Nursing
Reporting To: Nursing Superintendent / Medical Superintendent

Overview:
The Nursing Incharge is responsible for managing, supervising, and coordinating nursing staff and patient care activities within the assigned department/ward. The role ensures high-quality nursing services, compliance with hospital standards, and smooth daily operations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise and monitor nursing staff performance and duty allocation.
  • Ensure proper patient care, safety, and adherence to nursing protocols.
  • Maintain ward discipline, cleanliness, infection control, and documentation.
  • Coordinate with doctors, administration, and allied departments for seamless operations.
  • Conduct rounds to assess patient needs, staff availability, and work quality.
  • Handle patient complaints and resolve issues promptly.
  • Ensure availability of medical supplies, equipment, and maintain stock records.
  • Monitor admission, discharge, and transfer processes.
  • Provide training, guidance, and performance feedback to nursing staff.
  • Prepare daily reports and communicate critical issues to the Nursing Superintendent.
  • Ensure compliance with hospital policies, NABH standards, and emergency preparedness.

Qualifications & Skills:

  • GNM/B.Sc Nursing with valid registration.
  • Minimum 3–5 years of clinical experience; supervisory experience preferred.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and team-management skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle emergencies professionally.
  • Knowledge of hospital protocols, nursing standards, and infection control.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: ₹20,000.00 - ₹25,000.00 per month
