Job Summary:
The Nursing Incharge at Dr. Aravind’s IVF Center is responsible for overseeing the entire nursing team and ensuring efficient, compassionate, and high-quality patient care throughout the IVF treatment process. This role involves supervising daily clinical activities, coordinating patient care pathways, maintaining nursing standards, and ensuring compliance with medical protocols and regulatory requirements in an IVF setup.
Key Responsibilities:Clinical Operations & Patient Care:
- Supervise and coordinate daily nursing activities in OPD, procedures, and IVF treatment areas.
- Ensure timely and compassionate nursing care during patient consultations, ultrasound scans, oocyte retrievals, embryo transfers, and other fertility procedures.
- Monitor patient vitals, administer medications, injections (e.g., hormonal therapy), and provide post-procedure care.
- Educate patients about treatment cycles, medication schedules, and follow-up instructions.
Team Management:
- Supervise, train, and mentor junior nursing staff to maintain clinical excellence.
- Prepare duty rosters, manage staff allocation, and ensure adequate nursing coverage across all shifts.
- Conduct regular performance reviews and provide feedback to nursing team members.
Quality & Compliance:
- Ensure all nursing activities comply with standard operating procedures (SOPs), infection control practices, and safety protocols.
- Maintain accurate documentation of patient records, medication administration, and procedural notes.
- Coordinate with the Quality Controller to support audits, quality improvement initiatives, and accreditation standards (ICMR, NABH, etc.).
Coordination & Communication:
- Act as the key liaison between the medical team, embryology lab, and front office for smooth patient flow.
- Participate in patient case discussions, briefings, and cycle planning meetings.
- Ensure proper handling of patient confidentiality and sensitive data.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Education: B.Sc / GNM / M.Sc in Nursing with valid registration (State Nursing Council).
- Experience: Minimum 3–5 years in nursing, preferably with 1–2 years in IVF/fertility clinics.
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
- Excellent patient communication and counseling skills.
- Familiarity with IVF-related medications, hormone injections, and aseptic techniques.
- Proficient in maintaining nursing records and using hospital software/EMRs.
