A Nursing Superintendent, also known as a Director of Nursing, is a senior-level nursing professional responsible for managing and overseeing the nursing department and ensuring quality patient care. They plan, organize, and direct all nursing activities, including staffing, policy development, and quality improvement initiatives.

  • Staff and operations management: Supervise and manage all nursing staff, create work schedules, handle staffing needs, and oversee daily nursing activities.
  • Patient care standards: Ensure high standards of patient care are maintained, monitor patient outcomes, and ensure compliance with all relevant healthcare regulations and best practices.
  • Policy and procedure: Develop, implement, and enforce nursing policies and procedures within the hospital.
  • Resource and budget management: Manage the nursing department's budget and resources, and oversee the allocation of staff and materials.
  • Training and development: Plan and implement staff training programs, conduct performance evaluations, and promote professional development among the nursing team.
  • Coordination and liaison: Collaborate with other hospital departments, physicians, and administrative staff to ensure seamless patient care delivery.
  • Problem-solving: Handle patient and staff complaints, and address disciplinary issues promptly.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹18,173.26 - ₹25,000.00 per month

Education:
