Role Overview:
The Nursing Supervisor oversees nursing staff to ensure high-quality patient care and strict adherence to healthcare regulations. The role involves supervising daily nursing operations, guiding and mentoring staff, addressing patient care issues, and ensuring a safe and professional work environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Staff Supervision & Management
- Supervise and support nursing staff in daily patient care activities.
- Prepare duty rosters and manage staff scheduling to ensure adequate coverage.
- Conduct staff performance evaluations and provide constructive feedback.
- Patient Care & Safety
- Monitor patient care standards to ensure safe, effective, and compassionate care.
- Address and resolve patient care concerns promptly.
- Enforce infection control protocols and safety regulations across units.
- Training & Development
- Organize orientation and continuous training programs for nursing staff.
- Guide staff in handling clinical procedures and patient interactions.
- Encourage professional growth and ensure compliance with nursing best practices.
- Operational & Administrative Duties
- Maintain accurate records of nursing activities, staff attendance, and patient care logs.
- Coordinate with doctors, allied health professionals, and hospital management for smooth operations.
- Ensure compliance with hospital policies, accreditation standards, and healthcare regulations.
- Leadership & Quality Improvement
- Lead by example, fostering teamwork, discipline, and accountability among staff.
- Monitor patient feedback and initiate quality improvement measures.
- Support hospital initiatives to improve patient satisfaction and service delivery.
Qualifications & Skills:
- B.Sc. Nursing / GNM with valid registration.
- Minimum 5 years of clinical nursing experience, with at least 2 years in a supervisory role.
- Strong leadership, communication, and decision-making skills.
- Knowledge of hospital operations, clinical protocols, and patient safety standards.
- Ability to handle emergency situations with confidence and efficiency.
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: ₹18,000.00 - ₹25,000.00 per month
