The Ward Manager will be responsible for effective ward management, supervision and coordination of nursing and paramedical staff, induction and training programs, monitoring of healthcare services, inventory control, and ensuring compliance with institutional standards, healthcare protocols, and Islamic & medical ethics.
Key Responsibilities
Ward Management
-
Prepare duty rosters, deploy and manage paramedical staff in consultation with ward representatives ensuring 100% compliance.

Act as a bridge between paramedical staff, consultants, and hospital administration.

Monitor nursing healthcare delivery through rounds/visits of wards, OPD, ER, OT, ensuring accuracy of patient records, inventory, medicines, and cleanliness.

Supervise shift handovers of staff with ward representatives to ensure smooth continuity of care.

Maintain close interaction with nursing/paramedical staff to resolve operational and administrative issues.
Quality Assurance & Infection Control

Coordinate with TQM Cell to plan, develop, and implement quality healthcare initiatives.

Implement and monitor infection control and nursing procedures, suggesting improvements when required.

Ensure 100% compliance in HIMS nursing module coordination, monitoring, and reporting.
Training & Development

Plan and organize staff training programs with the TQM Cell, ensuring 100% compliance with scheduled sessions.

Develop mechanisms for nursing assistant training in coordination with School of Nursing.

Support and facilitate nursing school/college development activities, proposals, and staff retention strategies.
Additional

Adherence to Islamic and medical ethics as per IIMCT mission and SOPs.

Undertake any additional duties assigned by management.

Qualifications & Experience
-
Academic: B.Sc. Nursing or Postgraduate Diploma in Ward Administration.

Experience: 6–10 years post-qualification, with proven expertise in ward management, staff supervision, training & development, and healthcare quality assurance.
