An Occupational Therapist (OT) is a healthcare professional dedicated to helping individuals overcome physical, mental, or developmental challenges that hinder their ability to engage in daily activities. The primary goal of an Occupational Therapist is to enhance the quality of life for their clients by promoting independence and functional well-being.

Responsibilities:

  • Assessment:
  • Conduct comprehensive assessments to evaluate clients' physical, cognitive, emotional, and social abilities.
  • Identify clients' strengths and limitations in daily activities and establish treatment goals.
  • Treatment Planning:
  • Develop individualized treatment plans based on assessment findings and collaborate with clients to set realistic goals.
  • Design and implement therapeutic activities and interventions to improve clients' functional abilities.
  • Intervention:
  • Provide hands-on therapeutic interventions to enhance clients' fine and gross motor skills, sensory processing, and coordination.
  • Teach adaptive techniques and strategies to help clients perform daily tasks independently.
  • Collaboration:
  • Work closely with other healthcare professionals, such as physicians, nurses, and rehabilitation specialists, to ensure comprehensive care for clients.
  • Collaborate with families, caregivers, and educational professionals to create a supportive environment for clients.
  • Documentation:
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date client records, documenting assessment findings, treatment plans, and progress.
  • Communicate effectively with the healthcare team through written reports and verbal updates.
  • Education:
  • Educate clients, families, and caregivers on the use of adaptive equipment, environmental modifications, and strategies to enhance independence.
  • Provide training on injury prevention and lifestyle modifications.
  • Research:
  • Stay informed about current trends, research, and advancements in occupational therapy.
  • Incorporate evidence-based practices into clinical interventions.
  • Ethics and Professionalism:
  • Adhere to ethical standards and professional guidelines established by relevant occupational therapy organizations.
  • Maintain confidentiality and respect clients' autonomy and cultural diversity.

Work Environment:
Rising Sun Child Development Center provides a safe and positive work space. The primary focus is on providing a nurturing and supportive environment for children's development.
Collaboration among educators, occupational therapists, speech therapists, and other professionals to support holistic child development. Regular team meetings to discuss individual child progress and plan interventions, Professional development opportunities for staff to stay updated on best practices in early childhood education.

Qualification:

  • Bachelor's/Master's degree or higher in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a healthcare team.
  • Compassion, patience, and empathy in working with individuals facing physical or mental challenges.
  • Continuing education to stay abreast of advancements in the field.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: ₹20,000.00 - ₹30,000.00 per month
