Office Administrator

Mullen Wylie is a boutique law firm located in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina. The firm offers litigation and collection services to property owners and homeowners' associations. We are seeking a versatile Office Administrator to manage the daily operations of our boutique law firm. This role is the backbone of our office, handling everything from financial record-keeping to employee onboarding. The ideal candidate is highly organized, discreet, and comfortable wearing multiple hats in a professional environment.

Core Responsibilities

  • Manage Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable.
  • Process monthly client billing and trust account transactions.
  • Reconcile bank statements and track firm expenses.
  • Coordinate with external CPAs for tax preparation and audits.
  • Oversee payroll processing and tax filings.
  • Facilitate recruitment, interviewing, and hiring processes.
  • Lead onboarding for new attorneys and support staff.
  • Manage employee benefit programs (health insurance, 401k).
  • Maintain confidential personnel files and firm policies.
  • Monitor compliance with state and federal labor laws.
  • Maintain vendor relationships and service contracts.
  • Order office supplies and manage equipment maintenance.
  • Ensure the office remains tidy and professionally presented.
  • Assist with basic IT troubleshooting or coordinate tech support.
  • Organize firm events, meetings, and holiday schedules.
  • 3+ years of experience in office administration.
  • Prior experience in a law firm or professional services preferred.
  • Proficiency in QuickBooks or specialized legal billing software (e.g., Clio).
  • Strong understanding of basic GAAP and HR best practices.
  • Exceptional communication skills and attention to detail.

Pay: From $60,000.00 per year
