Office Assistant

Small law office in Rockville MD in need of energetic, friendly, and personable individual. We are a growing law firm focused on probate, guardianship, and tax matters, seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Office Assistant to support daily operations. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a structured environment, can manage multiple priorities, and takes pride in accuracy.

Essential Responsibilities & Duties

  • Exceptional organizational skills and ability to analyze information efficiently
  • Extraordinary detail analytics and ability to review information thoroughly
  • Can work independently or in a group
  • Processes checks and reconciles monthly bank statements, inputs payments, prepares reports, and reconciles the bank statement
  • Communicating with clients via phone, email and in person to conduct interviews and field questions
  • Updates accounting binders on a monthly basis
  • Process Social Security & OPM Pension Payments, audit financial and tax work papers
  • Attending meetings alongside the Lawyer and taking accurate notes on proceedings
  • Organizing documents for court filing and record-keeping
  • Proofread legal documents
  • Maintaining client confidentiality and privacy
  • Maintains files and prepares records for scanning and archiving
  • Assists with processing, balancing, and distributing monthly financial statements.
  • Bank, court, and post office travel
  • Performs other related duties, as assigned

Pay: $20.00 - $22.00 per hour
