Office Assistant

Long Island food manufacturer seeking Office Assistant to join our growing Hauppauge-based team. We are Gourmet Factory, a family owned and operated company, with deep Mediterranean roots that drive our passion for olive oil, olives and Mediterranean food. We are a full-service company providing quality products to retailers, foodservice operators, and manufacturers. Our customers are our priority, and great pride is taken in the selection, packaging and delivery of all Gourmet Factory items. For this reason, we are looking to expand our team to provide greater customer satisfaction and improve the customer experience overall. Essential Duties and Responsibilities include but not limited to the following:

• Various office duties
• Monitor and track shipments to ensure timely delivery and expedite as needed
• Provide administrative support to Operations and assist on special projects as needed
• Data Entry
• Scan and file documents
• Serve as a backup to Customer Service

Qualifications

• Proficient in Microsoft Office suite
• Strong communication skills with a focus on customer service
• Demonstrated phone etiquette and professionalism
• Familiarity with basic clerical and administrative tasks
• Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively
• Experience in an office environment is a plus
