Office Assistant/Receptionist

Appliance Repair Company seeking a high-energy dispatcher/administrative assistant in our San Mateo office. This position requires a friendly, well-organized person with great multi-tasking skills. Must be a quick-learner and comfortable working independently. Knowledge of the Appliance industry is a big plus but not necessary. Willing to work with college schedules need full time during the summer but part time ok for fall/spring.

Duties include but are not limited to:

  • Direct phone calls, e-mails, and faxes
  • Operate office equipment (copy, fax and scanner)
  • Schedule and input appointments in dispatch software
  • Dispatch technicians
  • Order parts
  • Inventory evaluations
  • Read & respond to emails
  • Input data and file paper work
  • Provide general office support to Office Manager

Requirements:

  • Must successfully pass a ten year background check.
  • Must submit to and pass a drug screen.
  • Must possess a high school diploma or G.E.D.
  • Must be proficient in communicating, reading and writing.
  • Must have some work experience in a customer service industry.
  • Must be computer savvy in Microsoft office: Word, Excel and PowerPoint
  • Must possess high ethical standards.
  • Must enjoy working with the general public.
  • Must have the ability to work effectively as a team player.

Compensation: $22-$25 TBD

Hours: Monday- Friday 8am-5pm / or Part time 12pm-5pm
