Job Summary
The Office Boy is responsible for supporting daily office operations by maintaining cleanliness, assisting staff, handling documents, and ensuring a well-organized, efficient, and pleasant working environment. The role requires punctuality, attentiveness, and a helpful attitude.
Key Responsibilities
Office Maintenance & Cleanliness
- Ensure cleanliness of office premises, including lobby, meeting rooms, pantry, and work areas.
- Dust, wipe surfaces, and maintain hygiene standards throughout the day.
- Empty trash bins regularly and replace liners.
- Perform end-of-day office clean-up.
Pantry & Refreshments
- Prepare and serve tea, coffee, and refreshments for staff and visitors.
- Maintain pantry cleanliness and ensure availability of supplies (tea, coffee, sugar, milk, cups, etc.).
- Clean kitchen appliances, utensils, and countertops.
Office Support & Assistance
- Assist staff with printing, photocopying, scanning, and document distribution.
- Organize files and support basic document management.
- Run office errands as required.
Visitor & Meeting Support
- Greet visitors and inform concerned staff of their arrival.
- Prepare and set up meeting rooms, ensuring availability of stationery and equipment.
- Maintain meeting rooms before and after meetings.
Mail & Deliveries
- Collect, sort, and distribute incoming mail and packages.
- Assist with outgoing documents and courier coordination when required.
Supplies & Inventory
- Monitor office stationery and pantry supplies.
- Inform the supervisor of low stock items for replenishment.
- Assist in weekly and monthly inventory checks.
Basic Maintenance
- Handle minor maintenance tasks such as replacing light bulbs and checking printer supplies.
- Report major maintenance issues to the office manager or HR.
End-of-Day Duties
- Ensure equipment such as printers, lights, and pantry appliances are switched off.
- Prepare the office for the next working day.
- Report daily issues or observations to the supervisor.
Additional Responsibilities
- Support special office activities, events, or meetings when required.
- Perform any other duties assigned by management related to office operations.
Requirements & Skills
- Minimum basic education.
- Previous experience in a similar role is an advantage.
- Ability to follow instructions and company policies.
- Good time management and organizational skills.
- Polite, cooperative, and professional attitude.
- Physically fit to perform daily office tasks.
